About This Program
The purpose of the Erik Hite Foundation Emergency Relief Fund is to provide emergency financial assistance to public safety employees and their immediate family members during times of tragedy and unforeseen medical hardship.
Who the Fund Helps
- Public safety personnel, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, dispatchers, and corrections officers.
- Immediate family members of eligible public safety employees.
- Individuals who are facing unexpected personal crises, including:
- Caregiving responsibilities for a critically ill family member that create financial hardship.
- Death in the family (including funeral expenses or emergency travel costs).
- Serious illness, injury, or accidents including non–work-related incidents that result in loss of income or significant medical expenses.
