The 15th Annual Community Festival of Service + Glow for Heroes 5K & 2-Mile Walk brought the Southern Arizona community together for an unforgettable evening focused on wellness, remembrance, & connection. Held on May 2, 2026, this year marked the event’s first-ever evening format, which proved to be the perfect addition as participants and attendees gathered under the lights in their brightest neon to glow for our heroes.
The glow-themed event welcomed 174 runners and walkers, along with a number of additional community members who attended the FREE Community Festival throughout the evening….

The 2024 Fallen Officer Memorial Official 5k & Family Festival took place on
Saturday, May 11th, marking a day of remembrance and celebration. With approximately
250 participants joining the walk and run, along with the presence of 4 delectable food
trucks, 7 engaging vendors, and over 20 touch-a-truck vehicles, the event was a

2023 Fallen Officer Memorial Official 5K + Touch-A-Truck Event – Recap
Saturday, May 13, 2023
The 2023 Fallen Officer Memorial Official 5k + Touch-A-Truck event was held on May 13th. This was the first 5K event we’ve hosted since COVID hit, and it was a success! We had 243 enthusiastic participants, 3 food trucks, 4 vendors, and 27 vehicles. Thanks to our amazing participants, sponsors, and supporters we were able to raise in excess of $35,000. These funds directly benefited the expansion of our SouthSide Childcare Development Center, and helped to continue supporting our local first responder and military families.
With live music from an amazing DJ, great food from our local food vendors, a kids zone with princesses, face painting, and a bounce house, and exciting trucks and other vehicles to climb on…. We sure did have a blast with all of you! Our participants even got a chance to win a variety of raffle prizes from ice cream, all the way to ziplining! The day was also spent getting to remember and honor those brave officers who sacrificed their lives to serve and protect our communities every day.
The event ran smoothly, and went on without a hitch. Our only hope is to have even more participants next year, and to raise even more money for our local first responder and military families! We are extremely grateful for the neverending support from the community, and we are excited to begin planning for 2024. We hope to see you there!
