Board of Directors
Erik and I came to Tucson from Honduras (Soto Cano Air Force Base) in May 2000. We fell in love with the dry heat and decided to retire in this community. I am a mother of two; Roy David Hite, who has followed his father’s step in the Air Force, and Samantha Nohemy Hite. I am currently a stay-at-home mom raising my daughter and work full time with the foundation. I am a member of the Saguaro Canyon Evangelical Church where Erik and I started attending in 2002.
I joined the Erik Hite Foundation board in May 2013 and became Vice- President in 2014. I am a Lead Management Analyst with the Tucson Police Department. Serving 28 years in the Air Force, my assignments included tours in California, Korea, Colorado, Arizona, Germany, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. I retired in January 2010. I hold a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Human Resource Management with Honors. My passion is singing and serving others as I initially became associated with the foundation as a National Anthem vocalist at fundraising events.
I was honored to join the Erik Hite Foundation board in June of 2016. I am a native Tucsonan with familial ties to multiple public safety branches. I have worked in IT, human resources and financial planning and am currently the Senior Compensation & Benefits Analyst at Tucson Electric Power Company. I am a Wildcat for life and hold a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. My wife, Morgan, has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit industry and we have jointly logged hundreds of hours of volunteer, event, and board service to many worthwhile organizations.
Tucson has a bright future and the Erik Hite Foundation is taking the lead in building a strong community of support around families that serve and protect all.
I am grateful and humbled by the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of the Erik Hite Foundation. I have worked for the Tucson Police Department since 2000, and had the honor of working with Erik. I completed my B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Arizona (1999) and continued at UA to earn my M.A. in Teaching and Teacher Education with a science education emphasis (2003). I am an adjunct professor at Pima College and take great pride in learning and working to strengthen others. I hope to use my talents to contribute to the continuing mission of the Erik Hite Foundation.
I have had the great honor of being a member of the Board of Directors for the Erik Hite Foundation since fall 2014. I currently work at Casas Adobes Pediatrics where I am a full-time Pediatrician. I grew up in the Midwest but my family moved to Nevada when I was in High School. I attended the University of Nevada, Reno where I completed my B.S. Biology, B.A. Spanish and then my M.D. degree. I came to Tucson in 2006 to do my Pediatric Residency. While in residency I met my husband, who is a first responder, and we’ve chosen to make Tucson our permanent home. We have two young children and they both attended the Erik Hite Foundation Child Care Center as infants/ toddlers. We are forever grateful to this organization and I am proud to help contribute to this great foundation!
I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Economy and Industry. During my college years I worked for a preschool here in town and when I graduated I moved into the field of Human Resources. Currently I am the HR Generalist for Child & Family Resources, a statewide non-profit organization, which focuses on helping families succeed through a wide array of programs.
My husband works for Tucson Fire Department and we have two amazing little boys. We truly understand the need for the services that Erik Hite Foundation provides and are both excited to give back in any way we can.
I was born in Tucson and lived here until I was two. When my father retired from the Air Force we moved to Michigan to be close to our extended family. After being away for almost 21 years, we found our way back to Tucson and plan to make this our forever home. I am extremely excited to be part of such an exceptional organization. I have always had a passion for helping others going back into my days in middle and high school and continuing through my college years. I volunteered with several different organizations where I participated in or led various events to raise funds and awareness. I recently completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and I plan to continue on and get my Master’s and state licensure. I enjoy playing volleyball, shooting sports and watching baseball. I am proud to be part of such a worthy organization and I hope that my efforts are beneficial to everyone that comes in contact with the Erik Hite Foundation.
